What is a MUJI Gift Card?
A MUJI Gift Card is a prepaid card that can be used to purchase products from MUJI UK stores and the MUJI UK online store at uk.muji.eu. Physical Gift Cards are available and issued in-store only. Digital (E-Gift) Cards are issued online only via the MUJI UK website.
Both types of Gift Cards can be used either online or in-store, offering flexibility and convenience. They make ideal gifts, giving recipients the freedom to choose from a wide range of MUJI products including home goods, stationery, clothing and more.
What amounts can I choose for an E-Gift Card?
MUJI E-Gift Cards are available in fixed denominations only, ranging from £10 to £200. You cannot enter a custom amount; you must choose from the pre-set values available.
How is the E-Gift Card delivered, and can I schedule it?
MUJI E-Gift Cards are delivered immediately via email to the recipient after purchase. A personalised message can be included at no extra cost. Please note that scheduled or delayed delivery is not currently available.
How long is the Gift Card valid for?
MUJI Gift Cards are valid for 24 months from the date of purchase. The expiry date for E-Gift Cards is clearly stated in both the buyer and recipient emails.
Where can I use a MUJI Gift Card?
You can redeem your MUJI Gift Card and E-Gift Card, online at uk.muji.eu and in MUJI UK physical stores. The card is only valid in the UK and cannot be used internationally. For Online purchases, our Gift Cards can currently be used for deliveries to UK addresses only.
Can I use a MUJI Gift Card to pay for delivery or with a promotional code?
Yes. Your MUJI Gift Card can be used to pay for both products and delivery charges when shopping online, as long as there are sufficient funds. You can also use a Gift Card alongside valid promotional codes or discount offers, unless otherwise stated in the offer’s terms and conditions.
How do I redeem my E-Gift Card online, and what if I do not use the full balance?
To redeem your E-Gift Card online, enter your Gift Card number in the ‘Have a gift card? / enter gift card’ box at checkout. If your order total is more than the Gift Card balance, you can pay the difference using another payment method. If your order total is less, the remaining balance will stay on the card and can be used for future purchases within the 24-month validity period.
How do I use my E-Gift Card in-store?
Simply present the barcode included in the email (on your phone or printed). MUJI store staff will scan the barcode at the till to redeem your balance.
Can I use the Gift Card more than once?
Yes. You can use the same Gift Card across multiple transactions until the balance reaches £0 or expires within the 24-month validity period.
Can I get a refund or cancel a Gift Card after purchase?
No. MUJI E-Gift Cards are non-refundable and non-returnable, except where required by law. E-Gift Cards are delivered immediately via email and can be used right away. By completing your purchase, you agreed to these terms at checkout. As the gift card is classed as a digital product with immediate access, the usual 14-day cancellation (cooling-off) period under distance selling regulations does not apply.
Can I use the card to buy another Gift Card?
No. MUJI Gift Cards cannot be used to purchase other Gift Cards or E-Gift Cards.
Can I use more than one Gift Card on the same order?
Yes. You can redeem multiple MUJI Gift Cards on the same order, both online and in-store, as long as the total value covers (or contributes to) your purchase amount.
When shopping online, simply enter each Gift Card Number one at a time at checkout in the ‘Have a gift card?’ section.
Can I return an item purchased with a Gift Card?
Yes. If your item is eligible for return. If you paid entirely with a Gift Card, the refund will be returned to the same card (or a new one if unavailable).
If you paid with a Gift Card and another payment method, the refund will go to the Gift Card first, with any remaining amount refunded to your original payment method. Please note: Online purchases cannot be returned in-store. This does not affect your statutory rights.

What if the recipient did not receive the E-Gift Card email?
If the E-Gift Card email was not received, please ask the recipient to check their spam or junk folder. The buyer also receives a copy of the email, which can be forwarded manually if needed. Please ensure the recipient’s email address is entered correctly at checkout, as MUJI is not responsible for delivery issues caused by incorrect or misspelled addresses.

What if my Gift Card is lost or deleted?
Gift cards should be treated as cash; they are not credit or charge cards. MUJI will not accept liability for any lost, stolen, or damaged cards. Gift cards cannot be returned or refunded, except in accordance with your statutory rights. For any queries or issues regarding your E‑Gift Card, please contact our Customer Service team team for further assistance.
Are there any exclusions on products or services?
Gift Cards may not be accepted on some third-party goods, services, or certain exclusions online and in-stores.
Can I use a MUJI E-Gift Card outside the UK?
No. MUJI E-Gift Cards purchased on uk.muji.eu are only valid in the UK, both online and in MUJI UK physical stores. They cannot be redeemed on MUJI international websites or in overseas stores.
Who owns the Gift Card and what legal terms apply?
MUJI Gift Cards are issued and remain the property of Ryohin Keikaku Europe Ltd T/A MUJI. They must not be resold, transferred for value, altered, or used for commercial or promotional purposes without MUJI’s prior written consent.
