By registering for the Refer-a-Friend scheme, you can give your friends a reward, which is a discount off their first order on the MUJI website. When your friend successfully makes their first order online, you will receive an email with a reward for your next online order.
How do I start referring friends?
After registering, you can share your personalised referral link via email, Facebook, Facebook Messenger, WhatsApp, or by copying and pasting it. You can also refer friends by word of mouth—just ask them to enter your registered name on the checkout page. To receive their reward, your friend must register using your link or enter your name correctly during checkout. They will receive a unique promotion code to use at checkout to redeem the discount.
Why is the friend I referred showing as “not eligible”?
To be eligible for the reward, your friend must be a new customer. If your friend has shopped with us before online, they will not be eligible for the reward.
How many people can I refer to MUJI?
You can refer as many people as you like.
Can I use my reward in-store?
No, you can only use this Refer-a-Friend reward at MUJI online only (region specific).
I have been referred by a friend. How do I get my reward?
Please click on that link your friend sent you to register for the reward.
Alternatively, you can enter your friend’s name on the checkout page by clicking “Been referred by a friend?” underneath the promotion code box. Ensure you use the correct name as registered to help us identify them.
After registering, you will receive a unique promotion code via email. Enter this code into the promotion code box on the checkout page to receive your discount.
Please note, to be eligible for the reward, you must be a new customer and shopping on our website for the first time.
I have been referred by a friend by word of mouth, and they said I need to mention their name to claim my reward. Where do I do this?
If you were referred by word of mouth, you can enter your friend's name during the sign-up process in the designated referral section. Look for a field that asks for the referral source or simply enter their name during registration.
If you do not see this option, please contact our support team, and we will assist you in ensuring both you and your friend receive the rewards.
What are the eligibility criteria for the referral program?
To qualify for the referral program:
- The referred friend must be a new customer with no prior account or purchase history with us.
- The referred friend must use the referrer’s unique referral link or code during registration.
- Both the referrer and the referred friend must comply with any specific actions required, such as making a purchase within the specified time frame.
- The program is subject to geographical restrictions and participants must reside in eligible regions where the program is offered.
Can I track the status of my referrals?
Yes, you can easily track the status of your referrals through our dedicated referral dashboard. Simply log into your account and you will be able to see the status of your referred friends, including whether they have signed up, completed any required actions and when your rewards will be available.
Do my rewards expire?
Rewards will be valid for 3 months from the date they are earned by the Referrer. The referred friend will have 14 days to redeem their coupon code.
Can I combine multiple rewards?
Referral rewards cannot be combined with other discount codes in a single order. Similarly, the referred friend cannot use the coupon in conjunction with any other code.
What should I do if my referral reward has not arrived?
Please contact our customer support team, and they will assist you in resolving this issue.
Are there any limits on referral rewards?
Rewards will be cumulative and so if multiple qualifying referrals are made to MUJI, multiple rewards will be delivered to the Referrer, subject to a limit.
A Referrer may not earn more than 5 within any 24 hour period or 25 within last 12 months or 1500 GBP/EUR of reward value within last 12 months. A Referrer should not expect their Referred Friends to be given rewards automatically if they are referring more frequently than 10 friends within any 24 hour period. Rewards will be delivered to the Referrer on the day of the Referred Friend's purchase provided the Referred Friend's purchase is not cancelled.
You can refer as many people as you like.
Can I refer friends who live in other countries?
Referrals are limited to the region specific to your local website. You can only refer friends who reside in the same country or region covered by your local site.
